A wonderful and rare vintage item for the aviation, travel ephemera, Wagon Lits Cook and Air France collectors. Original Wagon Lits Cook itineraries for visiting South America in 1950, prepeared in collobaration with Air France which has provided many pictures for the booklet and shares the cover.
First flown by renowned French aviator Jean Mermoz the South American services is named as "MERMOZ LINE" by Air France. He vanished in his hydroplane Croix-du-Sud, 800 kilometres off the coast of Africa, in 1936.
Wonderful covers designed by Wengelman in 1949.
