An ultimate rarity for aviation, route maps, and Turkish Airlines collectors. 1961 THY Brochure with a Vicker Viscount Turbo Prop on the cover. Although the cover expressly states that it is a TIMETABLE, the only information on flight dates and times is the following sentence: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Ankara and Istanbul to Athens Rome and Frankfurt. The brochure includes local route map, adresses and telephones of domestic and international offices, and tabulated rates of domestic flights. These rates were the same in 1963 but the airline was flying to more domestic destinations. So this brochure is dated between 1961 (first striped livery) & 1962. Turkish Airlines would have put this in their 75th Anniversary Book, if they had it. It is an ultimate rarity.
