A very nice and rare, vintage item for aviation and route map collectors. Original map showing the flight routes before WW II. Not dated but some knowledge of political history indicates as such. Almost all of Africa is under Belgian, British or French colonial rule, like Belgian Congo, Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, French Equotorial Africa, French West Africa. Palestine and Trans Jordan in the Middle East. Manchukuo and French Indochina in Asia. Germany is in one piece in Europe. Canada is Dominion of Canada. Naval Bases and stations are indicated with a star on the map. Flight distances are given in statute miles. Nice small illustrated propeller aircrafts on the borders. Unusual vintage polar projection map showing the great circle courses and distances to all parts of the world.
