Another rare item for aviation, airline tickets and Turkish Airlines collectors. 1956 was the year when Devlet Hava Yollari (Turkish State Airways) became an incorporated company and took the name of Türk Hava Yollari (Turkish Airlines). This is an example of the first Excess Baggage Ticket forms used by Turkish Airlines. Issued in 2-13-1960 in Ankara Esenboga Airport for 21 kg excess baggage on flight from Ankara to Istanbul. Cost per kg: 1.5 TL. Total: 31.50 TL. Maximum allowed baggage weight was only 15 kg on those days.
