Another rarity for Turkish Airlines collectors. A Istanbul - Ankara one way ticket issued on August 12, 1952 by DHY Ticket Sales Office in Istanbul, for a flight on the same day. The flight cost 50 TL. This ticket is printed by Klisecilik ve Matbaacilik T.A.S. (Typesetting & Printing Inc. Printers) in Istanbul. In this ticket "Passenger" on the cover is spelled right on contrary to the previous ones where it was spelled wrong. Horizontal logo in inside front cover. Flight coupon has DHY logo printed on the background. Both E & F coupons intact.
Approx. size: 17.7 x 10.0 cm, trimmed trapezoidally. Watch out for other examples of early DHY tickets, from other printers. Cover designs may look similar but actually they are not. Cloud and mountain formations, the details of the plane and logo sizes, as well as othe aspects of the tickets are different. You can see it photographed. In very good conditon. Do not miss this 57 year old piece of DHY-THY history.
