Another rarity for Turkish Airlines collectors. A Istanbul - Ankara one way ticket issued on September 28, 1951 by DHY Ticket Sales Office in Istanbul, for a flight two days later. The flight cost 50 TL. This ticket is printed by Sanat Basimevi (Art Printers) in Ankara. In this ticket "Passenger" on the cover is spelled wrong on contrary to some of the later ones. Horizontal logo in inside front cover. Flight coupon has DHY logo printed on the background. F coupon and small ticket coupons 1-4 intact. Conditions on the back cover.
Approx. size: 18.5 x 10.8 cm. Watch out for other examples of early DHY tickets, from other printers. Cover designs may look similar but actually they are not. Cloud and mountain formations, the details of the plane and logo sizes, as well as othe aspects of the tickets are different. You can see it photographed. In very good conditon. Do not miss this 58 year old piece of DHY-THY history.
